The Museum of SON exists for one reason: the Son meme deserves the same institutional dignity as any other major work of art. Marble pedestals, brass plaques, hushed reverence — all of it, for a joke image.
Every piece in the permanent collection was donated by a visitor, hung automatically, and left for the public to judge — literally, by clicking the heart under each frame.
Every like you cast counts twice: once toward that piece's all-time total (shown under every frame and on the Leaderboard), and once toward its tally for the current calendar week (Monday–Sunday).
Each Monday, whichever piece led the week's tally is sealed into the permanent Weekly Archive — a running record of every Curator's Choice there's ever been. The current week's leader is shown live in the Hall of Fame's Velvet Room.
You can like each piece once. The museum is honor-system only — there's no login, so it's not vote-proof, but it hasn't needed to be yet.
The number in the header ticks up once per visit, live, across everyone currently looking at the site — not just you.
